Description:
The Data Analyst is responsible for the spatial and temporal analysis and processing of datasets with the goal of creating both internally and externally facing NOKIA products. This would include: supporting and running production grade processes; defining testing parameters to ensure output quality; troubleshooting problems and process failures; and creating, maintaining, and coordinating commercial release of products according to the requirements of product management. The Data Analyst will react to the needs and priorities of product management based on the change in business needs.
Execute processes to create NOKIA traffic products.
Conduct performance analysis on products and processes.
Troubleshoot process failures using problem solving and scripting skills.
Work with internal groups such as Development, GPO, Product Management, TCS, Corporate Quality and external groups such as TISA, industry alliances or customers.
Create, maintain, and expand as necessary geo-spatial referencing database components.
Demonstrate mastery of data manipulation and visualization skills. Implement geospatial technology into existing processes to utilize and deploy the most effective tools for task completion.
Support the creation and maintenance of documentation for all aspects of ongoing processes for ISO certification and review.
Qualifications:
· University degree, GIS degree/certification a plus.
· A minimum of two years professional experience in a development or operations environment.
· Knowledge of Python, Oracle SQL, Hadoop/HDFS, GIS, Excel and Access. Knowledge of Java a plus.
· Strong creative approach to solving data processing problems with limited guidance.
· Ability to adjust priorities based on business needs.
